The short film named 'durgamandu ': has raised the issue of violence against women in the remote area of far western region of Nepal. The film has tried to show the evil treatment to women that are still in practice in that area. Mostly, women are discriminated in the name different evil customs like chaupadi pratha, Witchcraft. As this movie is based on the real story, it is the great example of how even single women are subjected to different social tortures. The production of this short film, which is close to reality and the special exhibition with the focus of the concerned bodies, have made positive efforts to minimize these various incidents taking place in that place through conciousness. The easiest and fastest way to change society is through film and entertainment, which are being in practice since centuries to eradicate the evil.
